The lackluster start to a calendar year of 2017 continued for the third day in a row where Nifty50 and Sensex closed on a flattish note. NSE Nifty seems to have taken a prolonged breath at 8190-8200 after rallying from its major support at 7900 levels and closing at 8190 with 1 points drop and BSE Sensex too hovered around 26600-26700 levels during the day and closed at 26633 with 10 points loss. Indian Stock Markets were majorly driven by the Auto sales data that came in mixed and India’s services activity that remained unchanged at 47.6 in December.
About 1621 shares advanced, 1171 shares declined and 557 shares remained unchanged.
Asian Market Update: Japan’s Nikkei jumped up 479 points at 19594, Hang Seng lost 15 points at 22134 and Shanghai Composite hiked 23 points at 3159.
