The government has given some relief to the farmers. At the GST Council meeting on the evening of June 30, it has been decided to increase the GST rates on fertilizers to 5 per cent instead of 12 per cent. At the same time, the tractor components will be 18 percent GST instead of 28 percent. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley says that this decision has been taken to give relief to the farmers.
