Bank Nifty index is trading marginally lower by 0.08% at 25,026 level. PSU bank stocks have been losing sheen in the early trade. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32,413 down 10 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,145 marginally down by 7 points. A total of 56 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 6 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.32% at 16,141, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.16% at 16,860. Some buying activity is seen in Telecom, Pharma, Auto, while Power, Energy, Finance, Capital Goods and Metal are showing weakness on BSE.

The US FDA has completed the inquiry of Biocon’s Visakhapatnam plant. The US FDA has not issued any objection to the plant.

SEBI has approved the issuance of bonds to the REITs i.e. REITS and INVIT. Investors will be able to release bonds to raise capital. By now, Reits and Invent were able to raise the money through equity only. SEBI has also approved the writings of a project.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold an important meeting on disinvestment today. Finance Minister, Disinvestment Secretary and other senior officials will be present in the meeting. It is believed that in this meeting, discussions may be discussed about selling shares in government companies and closure of loss-making companies.
